Santa's Little Helpers! Has it really been 20 days since I last blogged?
Oh my.
Perhaps I can blame being lost under all the unwrapped Christmas presents? (But I can't because I only bought them all two days ago.)
Perhaps I can blame being the victim of the worst kind of trolling? (But I can't because not many people really know I exist over here in this quiet little corner of mine.)
Perhaps I can blame not having a tripod for my camera? (Well, perhaps not, because I didn't even get one for Christmas.)
At least my ironing board has not made redundant.
What I can really blame is that I fell in love with reading books all over again. I became a marathon reader for the first time since I've had two children under three. And instead of blogging, I've read five books in 3 weeks. It's been divine.
And I can also blame Life: Cooking. Working. Mumming. Gymming. Houseworking. Maintaining.
Just normal busy.
I've missed blogging, but there hasn't been that incessant need to share. Perhaps because it would have only been about the books I was reading all the ridiculous amount of work I've been doing.
And to blog about that might have been boring.
But what really is worth blogging about is that today is Christmas. And it's the time to be thankful for so much in our lives. For those we love, for having things like food and water, a comfortable home, and for the most inspirational person to walk this planet, who was born today.
I hope you take a moment to think about all that is good in your life.
Oh, and a Merry Christmas to you!

Hello there, stranger! Reading is a good, good thing (this coming from a librarian!) I know how hard it is to find time to read. I try to read each night before bed, but since I fall asleep in about 10 minutes, it takes me forever to finish a book!

Oh Kymmie, I have missed you muchly. But no need to explain or blame anything, I understand only too well how life has a way of taking over... and so it should! Your break sounds perfectly lovely and reading is a good thing, whichever way you look at it.
