The weekend is here. And I'm excited because it gives me a chance to reflect on the week and be grateful for:
- Bad hair. Nothing like having a giggle with my lads who usually hate having their hair washed. And after taking some of the advice given here, we've created more opportunities to have a giggle and actually make hair washing fun.
- Lemon iced water. After a recent reality check that I drink just one or two glasses of water a day, I've upped the ante. Enter ice cubes, a slice of lemon and mineral water. Voila. The perfect drink which I actually make time to sip. Plus, it's super good for me.
- Making music. Sometimes I think I'm too busy to enjoy anything other than blogging, but this week with a looming concert date, hubby and I made some music together (literally, if you're wondering). It was joyous, and melodic. And just one of the very things I love about him - that he is musical, and he loves it as much as me.
Happy Grateful Day. What are you grateful for?
Mr4 loves a good shampoo Do as well. Great pics!
ReplyDeleteThat is some awesome hair! And your lemon drink sounds wonderful. I should spice up my two litres of water each day. Not because I need encouragement to drink more, but just to have a more interesting life!
ReplyDeleteLove the bad hair idea! Will try it tonight on my toddler, because she HATES washing her hair ;-)
ReplyDeleteha ha going to have to try that, my boys hate washing hair!
ReplyDeleteCool about making music together!!!! Did you write a song? Enjoy the concert x
I would love to be musical. Not the same as nagging my girls to practice their violins.
ReplyDeletewhat cute little models! :) I used to love doing this with my hair as a kid! very cool! Happy weekend to you and your family! x
ReplyDeleteI am grateful that my children love washing their hair.

ReplyDeleteI love lemon & mineral water & ice ...mmm.
My boys don't mind hair washing either.
I love the pics, my boys love to have their hair in mowhawkes when we wash it. My 2 year old insists on washing his own hair now lol! As for being grateful - I'm always grateful when my youngest boys have a day time sleep at the same time. Ahh the serenity
ReplyDeleteWhat a 'do! (And a rather cute model at that!)
ReplyDeleteI am grateful for this glorious sunny day - probably one of the last before Winter settles in. Nothing like some lovely sunshine to put a smile on my face!
hmmm the shampooing dilemna. Head lice hell in this house! I have a child with a head full, they love him, and I can tell you the whole head cleaning thing sends shivers up me spine!!! I love a half glass of mineral water and a half of orange juice or pineapple juice and lots of ice. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeletehehe!! The hair photos are just fantastic!!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of you making music together. That's so wonderful. :)
What a great way to make hair washing fun! Nothing worse than dirty smelly hair. And good on you for finding a way to make water drinking more enjoyable for yourself.
ReplyDeleteOh, I just love it that simple things like washing hair can be turned into a lovely insight for a blog post. I also love that bit about making beautiful music with the hubby. It's always wonderful reading your blog, Kymmie.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! Love those 'strike a pose' moments. x
