Have you heard of the 20/80 theory? The one where you wear 20% of your wardrobe 80% of the time?
Even my four year old has a few regulars he puts on as soon as they come out of the wash. The picture above is one is one of them.
He asks, "Mum, can I wear my skinny cool jeans?"
And when he looks as cute as this in them, how could I say no? (Even when they're still a teeny bit damp?)
In celebration of the 'go-to' outfit, Gina from Acute Designs is featuring some of her favourite bloggers and their 'go-to' look.
So pop over and visit Acute Designs. Not only because I'm a privileged guest today, but because she's just gorgeous. (Plus you need to buy one of her divine headbands or clips).
And because I'm curious... do you have a 'go-to' outfit, apply the 20/80 theory to your wardrobe, or do you try to pull out all your outfits for regular wear?
Oh yes, I wear lots of my outfit over and over again... and forget that I have a whole array of other clothes in my wardrobe.
ReplyDeleteThose skinny jeans are way cool, and I love the way it looks like he feels in them. That's how a go-to outfit should make you feel!
Your son pulls off skinny jeans very well, he looks as gorgeous as his mum :)
ReplyDeleteThis theory definitely applies to me, partly because after 16mths I still cannot fit into my pre-pg clothes and because I always favour a few items over everything else.
xx
so my runners/cons and my pink zip-through hoodie! But in the light of recent events, I'm going to make an effort to stay out of my gym gear for the rest of the holidays - am planning some creative outfits even as we speak :-)

I think at the moment I'm wearing 2% of my wardrobe 98% of the time!! I've still got post-baby body so none of my normal clothes fit. Add to that the several years of weight changes and at any given point at least half my wardrobe doesn't fit, either too big or too small. At some point I'd like to settle down to a stable size that I can live with and actually make use of some of my lovely clothes again!
ReplyDeleteYour little guy is sure good looking in those skinny jeans..he'll grow into a handsome man someday!
ReplyDelete'Skinny cool jeans' - that's so cute. My son has a shirt that he calls his work shirt, because it is similar to what his dad wears to work. But he won't wear it all the time. Sometimes when I suggest it he says,'I'm not going to work today'.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo. I probably have a go-to outfit but I don't know what it is!!!
ReplyDeletei was just explaining that theory to my friend the other day!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely white linen pants and top in Summer and jeans/boots/top in Winter. Snuck into my jeans and boots for one day this week. Back to 30 degree days so am wearing said linen pants as I type.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I need to go and de-clutter my wardrobe using that rule.
ReplyDeleteI've only heard that rule used at work - 20% of the ppl do 80% of the work - and aint that the truth!
He's adorable and I love the truth of the 80-20 rule.
ReplyDeleteFor me: esprit jeans, converse sneakers, a bright-coloured t-shirt and a hoodie. Yes, I'm a fourteen year old boy inside :)
You son is rocking his skinny jeans! My boys live in them. So cute. x
ReplyDeleteI would wear about 10% of my wardrobe and the rest is just pretty stuff on hangers!!
ReplyDeleteCool dude ya got there!! x

Seriously ... how adorable is your little man. I bet you just want to squish him with cuddles all day - heartbreaker!!
ReplyDeleteI am of the belief that very few people can pull off the skinny jean look. Your son is one of them :)
ReplyDeleteShut.Up. He is so freaking cuuute!
ReplyDeleteYou have a little model on your hands :).
