THIS SATURDAY I'M GRATEFUL FOR... CUTE LITTLE BOYS.

Spring may (or may not) be the time to lose your blojo, but I think mine disappeared at the exact same time the warm weather arrived. Suddenly, I can dry clothes outside again, and watch my lads in their cubby house, playing in their sandpit, riding their scooters and bikes.

So this week, I'm grateful for:
  1. Cute little bums. Thanks to the warm weather, my lads no longer want to wear clothes, and there is underwear flung around the house in the bid for the coolest undies. Yes, seriously. But just watching the freedom that comes with minimal clothing is just too adorable for words. (Plus, they do have the cutest little bums!)
  2. Spring cleaning. The person who said A clean desk is the sign of a sick mind is no friend of mine. Mess in my house equals stress in my head. And after the gorgeous washing weather, every washable item in my home has returned to its place, and my head is back in the sane order I need in which to survive and function. (My house too!)
  3. Cancelled work trips. When my husband told me he was no longer able to go on a 10-day work trip to the Torres Strait/Treaty Villages of Papua New Guinea, I was so grateful I actually cried. It seems I'm not so happy for my husband to be away so much any more, and I really love to have him at home with us. Who would have thought?
What are you grateful for this week?

  1. I'm with you on the clean house thing!
And we have nudie rudies around here too. I'm forever picking up trousers, skirts, stockings and pants! As long as they're happy. :)

  2. Your grateful list is heartwarming to the hilt Kymmie and I'm so pleased that you will have all your family around you this weekend.

I'm looking forward to spending time with Captain V this weekend swinging in the hammock with a cool breeze on our skin and perhaps a lovely something cool to drink.

    Happy days!

  6. I know exactly what you mean. Just when my husband came home from a 4-day trip to Korea, I had to leave for an out-of-town planning! Now we're both back and enjoying the happy mess in the house. Your kids are sooo adorable! PS. Glad to see you back. xx

  7. 1) Health - seeing my daughter's friend's mother suffer a stroke this week shows me how things can change so tragically

    2) Love Chunks (husband) - he also goes away for work quite often and if I had a tail like our dog Milly I'd be wagging it just as madly when he walks back in the door. It's not that I *like* him being away, but I'm grateful to still feel happy and excited to see him return :)

    3) Fresh bread. Geneva is 95% surrounded by France and boy, do they know how to make bread!

  10. What a relief that he'll get to be home. I would be a bit gutted to miss out on a trip to our 'home town' though... such an amazing place to be.

Cute little bums are as cute as little bums!! x

  11. Awww, totally beautiful gratefuls Kymmie. Always love the pics of those gorgeous boys of yours, isn't the warmer weather just fabulous for stripping back the layers. I am also loving all that extra baby flesh flubbering about the place ;o) I am EXACTLY the same when it comes to washing and line drying. When I get the chance I wash everything possible and get it all back in it's rightful place... not strewn all over the house drying... and I feel calm again!
Lovely to hear hubby gets to spend the time with the fam instead of working. I can relate totally, my hubby has to go into work for half a day tomorrow... on. a. SUNDAY! Makes me sad. Thankfully, weekend work is very rare for him.
