fancy pants

After a brief glimpse of how wonderful spring could be with actual spring weather, Melbourne is back to its usual antics. Rain, cold, overcast. As much as I'm excited about the reservoirs filling up and the cut back in water restrictions, my boys are dying to play outside.

Me too.

Today we had a playdate with a gorgeous friend who is feeling a little the same about the weather. She also has two active boys. We still had a great morning and our spirits weren't too dampened by the weather.

But you can tell from this photo that Madison is not his usual 100%. We were up and down last night with wheezing, coughing, screaming and wet beds. After our playdate was a visit to the doctor and a quick lunch at home. Halfway through eating Madison asked if he could be excused (hasn't he got such wonderful manners?). He put himself straight into bed. Now, you know things aren't right when they do that voluntarily.

Soon, let there be sunshine. Very soon.

Fancy Pants is the new way I record my boys and their lovely little clothes. Goodness knows, they'll grow out of these outfits before they're worn out!
