a day in the life of June
So, my favourite days are Saturdays. And why not? Friday is a mad busy day where I clean the house and prepare for the weekend. It's our day of rest. Put aside and super special.
And this Saturday after coordinating our church's second service, we had family friends over for lunch. Most of it was prepared the day before, leaving us to enjoy our guests' company. Saturday nights are all about the kids. We buy hot chips, eat toasted cheese and tomato sandwiches and milo milkshakes in front of the tellie watching a kids' movie. Every meal is eaten at the dinner table, except on Saturday nights. Plus, on Friday I made this amazing crunchie ice cream slice, so we had that too. Definitely a day not to think about the calories!!
But a day to savour and revive for the rest of the week!
Sorry for the delay in bringing you the weekend. In the next post you'll discover why the silence here...

ReplyDeleteI love that green jacket! You look very stylish. Your Saturday nights sound like fun. Good on you for letting your little ones stay up so late. I am selfish and need time without my toddler so 7pm bedtime as always, except if we are out.
ReplyDeleteOoh la la! Green is definitely your colour Kymmie. What a totally fab jacket, love it! Have to worry about your tootsies peeking out though, whilst the shoes look great... weren't you cold?! xo
ReplyDeleteP.S. Crunchie ice cream slice would definitely go down a treat here, YUM! :o)
If my chest is warm (and that coat certainly is) I'm warm everywhere! Mind you, cold feet isn't pleasant and luckily I spent most of my day indoors! xx
