a day in the life of June

So, here is the last daily post of June. And a few things I learnt this month as a result...
  1. Despite how little I feel like I'm achieving, I do a lot.
  2. There is more to life than writing down the things you do.
  3. I never stop. Ever. Take time to be still. Each day.
  4. After pulling out my ironing board every day just to take a photo, it really is time to purchase a proper tripod.
  5. I really don't need any more clothes when I can mix up the ones I already have into more than 30 combinations.
  6. There are people out there with more shoes than you. And that's okay. Besides, you have wedges. And they take up more than double the size of any ballet flats.
  7. Shares in Witchery would be a jolly good idea.
  8. More time is spent doing the washing, more than almost anything else.
  9. Going to the gym is not an excuse to eat and bake what you want. Even if baking time is spent with the kids. No excuses.
  10. Oh, except for those persimmons. Damn it girl, get them off that tree and get cooking!
Thanks for joining me on my journey...

  2. Haha, I read this blog post last night RIGHT before going to sleep. I usually dream about what I last thought about, and I dreamt last night that I dropped around for coffee - which is weird within itself because I do not drink coffee. And I went into your back yard to see if you'd picked the persimmons. And that was the end of the dream. Weird!!

  4. Oh it's the end! sniff sniff, i'm a little bummed! I loved your posts - but never fear, i sense a challenge looming! I love that tunic - black and white are so classic and i just loved how you've styled them to be easy breasy but with a touch of glamour! Perfecto! Was your appliance research for your thermomix? I'm keen to know how it's going. I'm so coveting one, i want your feedback!

  5. ps - yes i never stop too. I did some training just last week on Mindful Parenting. All about slowing. it. down. Take time to stop love - you'll love it

oh i know we shouldn;t eat as much as we bake this is why i usually drop half off to unsuspecting neighbours in their letterbox - surprise dose of calories for them (not me!)

Yes, you seriously should have shares in Witchery... at least you know they're clothing is a great investment!
I tend to agree, we ALL have more clothes than we honestly need :o/
A nice funky outfit to finish off with too... loving the accessories xo

  7. I'm so glad this ended up with the realisation that you're really doing OK. I too feel frustrated that I'm 'not achieving much', but I do achieve a lot in a day, it just happens to be lots of wiping, wiping. And imagine how much you will get done now you're not dragging that ironing board around with you! x
