a day in the life of June

Brrr! It was meant to be 11 degrees today, but for most of it, the temperature hovered around six degrees. It was FREEZING! Probably not a great time to tell you all to move to Melbourne!

So, the heater was up and the beanies and scarves were on all of us! Most relieved to not have to get into my swimmers today and glad to wear socks and shoes! I find if my ribcage and feet are warm, I can go three-quarter sleeves. But today some gloves would have been nice too.

Were you wrapped up in the freezing cold yesterday?

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I'm hearing you! I work in the city and I swear it was colder when I got off the train than when I got on it at 7:15am in the Sth Eastern Suburbs. Grateful for my wooly jacket, scarf and beret!

  2. Kymmie, I have to laugh at your freezing comments because I'm thinking you're talking about 6 degrees Fahrenheit, not Celsius! It actually gets 6 degrees F where I live in the States, which negative 14 degrees Celsius! Today it was 90 degrees here and we are just dying!

    Very cute, cozy looking outfit!

  3. Ooh yes, has been lovely and cold in Canberra already! Top of 8 yesterday, heading for a top of 10 (possibly) today. We had to get the kids warm jackets out so they could take them to daycare for when they play outside - IF they got to play outside! Crazy!

Loving your outfit - wish I could go 3/4 sleeve in winter - I have to be completely rugged up or I freeze!

  4. Best I don't comment on my morning in the park in blue skies and 20 degrees. Perfect winter weather!

  5. It has been cold in Sydney too - those 3/4 sleeves would not do it for me (even if I did have that fabulous hat on!) x

  9. Crazy girl with 3/4 sleeves. I am here freezing my bejeezus off with 3 layers including scarf and long sleeve cardy and that is indoors with the heater on, and only 10 degrees here...you are OUTSIDE with 3/4 in 6 degrees.

  10. Loving the winter look. I used to work at the Wesley Hill market as a teenager - I was a fruit and veg girl there for years, and I loved it! Best first job ever. :)

  11. Oh today I think the wind chill factor here in Sydney made the temperature 10 degrees colder. It is SO FLIPPIN COLD!

  12. I Love your outfit And that fruit tree is just gorgeous in the photos. I live at the "highlands" so we're often a degree colder than Melbourne. And it is always windy up here! I am scared of the gas bill...
