a day in the life of June

Raise a glass to the Queen. Even if you're not a monarchist.

Well, I am. But that didn't stop this girl from working on the Queen's Birthday public holiday. Sad, but true. I figured that if I didn't work today, I would not be able to get back into the office again this week. And there is too much to do right now.

So, Monday was a normal work day for me. But the benefits (if you can possibly imagine it) was the amazing amount of work done. There was nobody else in the office (of course, they were having a long weekend!).

Another inside shot for you. It's hard to get the daylight on Mondays. I'm just not home at that time. But I did enjoy a bath with the little lads. Always lots of fun!

How did you spend your long weekend?

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Poor you, having to work on a public holiday. I was a nurse for 15 years so public holidays meant little to me but I treasure them now so that we can have an extra day with my homme.
Did hubby work too? So great you can drop the lads at the inlaws and have them dropped back to you.

  2. Yes Vanessa, Hubby worked too! He decided if I was working, he'd catch up on some things as well. Besides, I didn't want my in-laws to miss out on their once a week visit from the lads! Aren't I kind?

These days I confess to not treasuring holidays that much. They seem just the same to me, plus hubby is away an awful lot on long weekends. xx

  4. I spent Queens Birthday Monday in the house on my own for once! Hooray! I loved it! I got so much done and my house was all spick and span and shiny at the end of it. This may not be a big thing to many people but it sure made me feel happy! :)
